(New York, NY- November 19, 2024)-- On October 4, 2024, ACKY BRIGHT: Studio Infinity Exhibit debuted at Japan Society in New York City.
"It is such an honor that I can host this type of exhibit at Japan Society," Acky Bright stated during an interview.
This past August, AnimeNYC 2024 attendees had a sneak peek of his exhibition prior to its official debut.
This is Acky Bright's inaugural solo exhibition. The solo exhibit showcases Acky Bright's "kawakakkoii" style through his artwork and promotional designs. The Japanese word "kawakakkoii" (カワカッコイイ) translates to "cute and cool."
The unique style is incorporated through a combination of two different subjects. As featured in Acky Bright's freestyle drawing, the tiger and machine are merged. Thus combining two different subjects, animal and machine.
In the recent years, he worked with major companies including Hasbro, McDonald's, BMW, DC Comics, and Meta. Projects and promotional designs include the WcDonald's bag, Squid Game Coloring Book for Netflix and YOASOBI X Vaundy's Tiroli Mix (McDonald's Japan).
Each project Acky Bright completed had its own uniqueness. The uniqueness of the projects ranged from the heavy reliance of social media networks to gaining reactions from international fans, and achieving dream goals.
For instance, Hasbro was Acky Bright's first-ever project in the United States. On the other hand, McDonald's is a well-known American company. Through the "WcDonald's" campaign, he gained reactions from fans around the world.
Visitors will have a chance to meet Acky Bright, witness his live drawing*, and participate in making a series of manga style murals.
