First U.S. Bandai Namco Cross Store To Open at Japan Village

(BROOKLYN, NY -- February 27, 2024) - Bandai Namco Amusement America Inc. has announced that their first ever interactive retail store will open on Friday, February 28th, 2025 on the second floor of Japan Village in Brooklyn. The new store marks the first ever Cross Store location in the U.S. and New York City.  It follows the success of the brand's first ever international location (London) outside of Japan.

Fans can see, touch and experience new and popular Bandai characters and products including PAC-MAN®, Tamagotchi, and One Piece. The space features over 100 gashapon machines and 10 department shops that offer collectibles, card games, figures, and everyday items from various Bandai Namco brands.

Games including Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS 2 Overboost (機動戦士ガンダム　エクストリームバーサス２　クロスブースト), Taiko no Tatsujin (太鼓の達人), and Maximum Tune 5DX Plus will make an exclusive appearance at the new store.  Future events such as tournaments are set take place in the future for these games, and to be announced.

The Grand Opening Event will be kicking off on the morning of Friday, February 28th. Special guests and speakers such as Jacki Jing (actress, influencer, host, and content creator) and representatives of Bandai Namco will be present during the grand opening ceremony. Doors will open at 11am, and it will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony. 

According to Bandai Namco Cross Store US Instagram page, there will be three promotions taking place on Grand Opening Day.

1. MegaHouse Official Store: Customers will receive a free Mega Cat sticker with purchase of $20 or more, while supplies last.

2. BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Shop: With any GUNPLA purchase, customers will receive a free Gundam marker, while supplies last.

3. GASHAPON: With a purchase of $20 Gashapon token, customers will receive a free clear bag and enamel pin, while supplies last.
